HOW IMPORTANT IS A GOOD MAKE-UP BRUSH? Make-up Brush 101

If you have ever wondered whether or not finding a quality make-up brush makes a difference, then the answer is yes! Using high quality tools to apply make-up is essential to providing a flawless look. Many will spend their money on foundation, but forget to take the time to find the correct applicator to apply it with. In essence, spending a bunch of money on high quality make-up will not do you much good if the proper utensils are not collected in order to use it with. Using the correct brush can be the difference between "flawless" and looking "messy." So how can you tell if you are buying a quality brush? Many will be surprised to know that even though make-up is a billion dollar industry worldwide, most ladies do not have clue on how to find the perfect brush for them. The best way to tell if you are getting an amazing brush is simply by running your fingers over the bristles of the brush. If it feels soft against the skin then this is a great sign. A rough feeling brush will indicate that it is probably not something to purchase. Always use soft utensils on the skin. This keeps the skin from being irritated and also from aging faster with harsh items. If the bristles fall out, do not buy the make-up brush. Make sure that the handles are solid with wood or plastic.

It is always a good idea to invest in a great brush, even if it may be costly. Many studies suggest that investing in a great brush will save a person money in the long run, because a high quality brush can be utilized for years. The secret is also to not purchase an entire set of great brushes at one time. Try to buy them sporadically so that you will not put yourself in a financial bind over make-up brushes. As silly as this may seem to some people, good make-up, including brushes, can quickly become expensive, especially when there are so many too choose from.  The price range of brushes can run anywhere from $8 to $60, unless you are trying to purchase utensils that use animal fur, then the price can quickly escalate to $150 per brush and up. Generally a synthetic brush (man made) will be cheaper than a brush made from animal hairs (Natural Brush).  Also, those who travel or want to carry brushes in their purse for quickly reapplying, may require an additional set of brushes. The different types of brushes may include the following:

Regardless of the information that is given throughout various articles, finding the perfect set of brushes depends on the person. It is an individualized choice that only the person who is using the brush will care about. Feel free to test and experiment with different things, however, at the end of the day, the perfect make-up brush is all about you.
