RED CROSS MONTH (WORLDWIDE)

The Red Cross is an organization that brings relief to victims of a war or a natural disaster such as a hurricane. The Red Cross was not only designed to bring financial relief to catastrophic events, but also emotional support towards one another that are dealing with a crisis. The purpose of the Red Cross is to unite with one another through tragic situations and to help each other through certain daily struggles. Founded in 1881 by Clara Barton, the Red Cross has been one of the most effective disaster reliefs worldwide. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE OFFICIAL HISTORY OF THE RED CROSS). In addition to just helping others financially and emotionally, the Red Cross has designed several different learning programs such as disaster relief, support for military families, health safety training and education, life saving blood donations and international services. Please view the following link to learn more about the Red Cross's international services:

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement was designed to "protect human life and health, to ensure to ensure respect for all human beings and to prevent and alleviate human suffering without any discrimination (WIKIPEDIA)."  Worldwide, this organization consists of over 97 million volunteers. The Red Cross relies on help from average income citizens who want to help. If you or someone you know would like to help participate in one of the greatest aid organizations, you can help by donating blood, taking a class, becoming a volunteer, hosting a blood drive and donating financially.
