Health in the Cracks: How to Build Better Habits Without Burning Out

Health in the Cracks:  How to Build Better Habits Without Burning Out You’ve probably seen the glossy to-do lists, the bullet journals adorned with pastel  highlighters, the 5 a.m. wake-ups that come with a smug caption. But if your calendar looks  more like a losing game of Tetris, those ideals are more guilt-trip than guide. For anyone  juggling deadlines, childcare, emails at midnight, and maybe even a sliver of a social life,  health can feel like a luxury item—something reserved for people with spare time and  matching gym sets. Still, your habits are quietly writing your future, and yes, they can be  reshaped without requiring a life reboot. It’s about weaving wellness into your existing  routine, not bulldozing your schedule to fit it. HEALTHY EATING! "Grilled Shrimp Cocktail with Yellow Gazpacho Salsa"

This week eat something new and healthy by trying out the "Grilled Shrimp Cocktail with Yellow Gazpacho Salsa." If it sounds delicious, that is because it is not only delicious but healthy as well! If cooked appropriately, seafood can be a really healthy choice. However, since it can be expensive, it is more likely that you will indulge in this meal every once in a while. To view the ingredients, how to cook this meal and the nutrition facts, scroll down after this week's healthy eating tips.

HEALTHY EATING TIP! Believe it or not, most people are never able to stay healthy because they are too busy comparing their body to someone else's. Whether it is your job, life or your body, comparing yourself to another individual(s) can be detrimental to your health and well being. "Unhappiness comes from comparison." Most people are extremely aware that comparison is wrong, however, they do not recognize that this bad habit can be attributed to food and body size as well. Every person is able to achieve a healthy body and weight, but each person must recognize that healthy weight and size is INDIVIDUALIZED. This means not everyone will be healthy at a size 0, 4, 6 or whatever the case may be. If you stop focusing on the size and progression of weight loss/maintenance that your neighbor has, you may just reach your own personal desirable weight!

"Not that we dare to classify or compare with some of those who are commending themselves, But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding
 (Corinthians 10:12). "
