HEALTHY EATING TIP! This week is healthy weight week! For those who are not aware of what this national celebration is, feel free to read the following article below!
Now that you understand what healthy weight week is, there are two important tips this week about maintaining a healthy weight. Most people who gain an excessive amount of weight always feel that they are not eating a lot of food. However, what most of us do not realize is that if we are gaining weight, unless it is medical related, we are snacking on more food then we realize. In order to see what you are eating and how much, try keeping a food diary for one week. Write down EVERYTHING you eat, even it is only a mint. Look at what you are eating and read the calories on the box or package from what you eat. Write that down as well. At the end of the week, analyze what you have eaten and count the amount of calories. Most people who have done this activity turn out to be extremely surprised as to how much they actually are snacking or eating during the day. This is an excellent exercise because it will force you to acknowledge your eating habits. People are not able to change what they do not acknowledge. Once you acknowledge what you are eating, then you are able to truly change.
