HOME OF THE WEEK! "The Notebook!"

The Notebook is one of the most romantic movies made of all time. The movie, directed by Nick Cassavetes and released in 2004, is a classic love story of an older man recanting (reading) his story to a fellow  nursing home resident. The story is of a young poor man who falls in love with a rich woman but ends up having severe problems within their relationship, due to their socio-economic differences. This movie is based on a novel by the popular author Nicholas Sparks and the screenplay was written by Jeremy Leven and Jan Sardi. Several nominations were given to this movie including the Teen Choice Awards, Satellite Award and an M.T.V. award. Both Rachel McAdams (who played Allie) and Ryan Gossling (who played Noah Calhoun) were the star actors within the movie. During the making of this movie, there were three key locations that were used. The Boone Plantation is one of the main places that was filmed. This home, located at 1235 Long Point Rd, Mount Pleasant South Carolina, served as Allie's main home. This home has been said to have been existing since the 20th century.
