Sixteen Candles was a popular 80's movie that tells the story of a young girl named Samantha who struggles embarrassment through her sixteenth birthday. Sam also feels extremely bad on this day because her family seems to have forgotten her 16th birthday because they are too busy planning for her older sister's wedding. The movie is also a story of teenage love, because Sam is also infatuated with her school crush.
