HOME OF THE WEEK! "What about Bob?"



What About Bob is a comedy about a patient named Bob (Bill Murray) who has a host of psychiatric conditions and decides to become attached and follow his psychiatrist on his family vacation. During this time, Bob shows up every day at every moment, making the psychiatrist, Dr. Leo Marvin, (Richard Dreyfuss) angry and bitter at his presence. However, the real problem occurs when the psychiatrist's family seems to see that Bob is a wonderful guy and welcomes him as part of their family. This film was released in 1991 and was filmed both interior and exterior at a Lake House at Smith Mountain Lake in Wirtz, Virginia, although the movie suggests it was located in Lake  Winnipesaukee. The home is located at 8254 Scruggs Road, Moneta, VA. Currently the home is now a private residence.
