WORLD BRAILLE DAY! "About Braille!?

World Braille Day was created for people to acknowledge and provide equal opportunities for those who are blind, worldwide. According to the American Foundation for the Blind,  Braille is "a series of  dots that can be read with the fingers by people who are blind or those whose eyesight is not sufficient enough for reading printed material. Braille is not a language, it is a code." Every year, World Braille day is celebrated on January 4th, which happens to be the birth day of the inventor of Braille, Louis Braille. Currently, one of the best ways to become involved in spreading the knowledge of Braille is through funding with certain organizations, such as  CBM International. An individual can also help by donating their time. CBM is an international organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for those who have disabilities with little means to help themselves.
