While life expectancy has been steadily increasing for many countries, there are several featured below that have an extremely low life expectancy rate. Many of these countries are in Africa. The people of Africa experience extreme poverty and the rapid spread of AIDS. The epidemic of AIDS has become as bad in some regions as one in five being infected by the disease. In these areas, the people are not fortunate enough to have access to testing and the medications that other countries have in order to survive. And even if they did, the education is so low, many individuals would not understand the risks and the importance of taking care of their bodies. There is often famine or little to eat, due to the rapid growth of people and the absence of food. Also when these poverty stricken people are able to eat, their food is not fresh and filled with the necessary nutrients that our bodies need to sustain our health. The land is often not fit to grow crops and rain is not abundant in these areas. Some individuals understand how valuable the food is and choose to sell it inappropriately to certain people. Our body is made mostly of water and the people in these areas are only exposed to "dirty" and polluted water. Exposure to this type of water can lead to sickness and death. The food that does become available is rumored to be sold in the black market.
In these particular situations, most countries would lean on their government to stop this type of corruption, however, this is not the case in this portion of the world. Many of the government officials are allegedly corrupt individuals, often using the money for political and/or personal gain. The hospitals are only available to the "wealthy." Those who live in rural areas do not have access to hospital care.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God ( 1 Thessalonians 5:8),"
