Top 5 ways to drive people to your website!

If you are already in the process of starting your website, then you know how difficult and time consuming it can be. With a world that gives us access to millions of domains, it can be very challenging to have your website show up on the front page of a major search engine query. And for those who do, they will probably tell you that it is one of the hardest jobs that exist. Most  people who start their own website give up within the first few months, because it can be very stressful if your site is not receiving the desired amount of traffic. In the world of the Internet, regardless of whether or not you are creating a website to help others or for your own special needs, TRAFFIC IS NECESSARY for success. Website traffic is defined as the amount of people who view your website or blog. Consider them your clients. Without them your business shuts down and people will not visibly be able to see your hard work. In order for me to actually lay out in it's entirety about how to run a successful Internet business, it would require me to include it in a book. Yes, it is that much harder then you think.  However, here are a few small tips that "may" just help you earn more business to your site.

DISCOVER DIVERSITY!!
DISCOVER DIVERSITY!!
DISCOVER DIVERSITY!!
The more diversity you have, meaning black, white, Asian and some in between, the greater the amount of people will be drawn to your website. As human beings, we have strong tendencies to gravitate towards people or things that are similar to us. If a person views your website and the only thing they spot are Asians or blond chicks, then expect everyone else that does not fit into that category to assume that there is nothing in it for them. This tip is ESPECIALLY important if you are running an international site. There are plenty of international sites that do not include a variety of people, however, if you look around, the ones who are the "most" successful include people from different backgrounds. Placing diverse images allows people to understand that your website cares about them enough to feature someone who represents their shade.

LOYALTY!
LOYALTY!
LOYALTY!
It does not matter if you are trying to run a powerful blog or website, both have equal opportunities for success. However, developing a sense of loyalty is absolutely imperative to the growth of your website. If you are wondering what it means to be "loyal" to a website, it simply suggests that you always give your readership new material as quickly as possible. Any website that gives their readers information once a month or even once every two weeks, is going to typically fail. When people want information, they do not like to wait too long to receive it. By the time you post something new or upgrade your website with new products, your initial readers will be on to something else. Think about it. Would you keep checking into a website/blog for new information if it only changed once a month?

#3.
 ADD MORE IMAGES!
 ADD MORE IMAGES!
 ADD MORE IMAGES!
It is simple. The more images and YouTube  videos you put on your website, the more people you attract. When a person is looking for a particular image and they click on the image that they desire, 9 times out of 10 it will take them straight to a website through that image. Those numbers not only count as traffic, but they also are potentially extra things you can use to draw new people to your website. Remember, images, IMAGES, IMAGES AND MORE IMAGES!

RESPOND TO YOUR AUDIENCE!
RESPOND TO YOUR AUDIENCE!
RESPOND TO YOUR AUDIENCE!
Anyone who runs a powerful website is constantly tracking where their audience is coming from. While we can never tell who is on the other side of the Internet reading our articles, analytics (such as google analytics) allow us to be able to see which articles or pictures people are clicking into the most. Naturally, the larger the amount of individual's viewing a particular article you have represents a good indication that there are many who are interested in what you just posted or an item you are trying to sell. However, never assume that just because you have a few views on something that it will not eventually lead to a lot of traffic. Sometimes it takes a long time for your material to be indexed or stored by google.

BOTTOM LINE: You don't control your website, regardless of how much effort you put into it. The people on the other side are the ones who are telling you what they enjoy seeing. Don't be selfish, show people what they are interested in. And if you are creative enough, you should be able to incorporate what you would like to share on the same page as what they want to hear. It can be a win win....

NETWORK WITH OTHER PEOPLE!
NETWORK WITH OTHER PEOPLE!
NETWORK WITH OTHER PEOPLE!
The biggest problem I see with people who are marketing their product/service/website is that they just shove all of their personal work they have done, expecting others to view it, but they fail to take a look at the work of someone else. This is huge! ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, express an interest in other people's work. You do not have to lie and tell people their work is great when you do not like it, but try networking with people  whom you "enjoy" viewing their work. (NEVER pretend to read something and then comment on it. People "always" know who actually read it versus who is faking it.) But it does not stop there. After you view their hard work, pass it on. If it is good information, share it with other people. In the end, you reap what you sow. If you only think about yourself and not others, people will see that and will automatically not want to work with you.

BOTTOM LINE: Anyone can put up a website or blog, but very few people will actually make it to a point where their site is actually recognized and well regarded. These are just a few of many steps it takes to increase your traffic. Of course the content has to be excellent, fresh and new. Eventually, every successful business will probably make its way online, so if you are trying to start your own business, then the best way to start is via building some type of visual aide for people online.
