Skin Care: Understanding Rosacea?

Rosacea is a common chronic skin disorder that causes the skin to become red, irritated and/or with pus filled bumps. This condition generally occurs during adulthood after the age of 30. People who are affected by Rosacea encounter major flare ups that can last for weeks or months at a time. A person's skin may then clear up for a while, only to flair up again. It can become a vicious cycle. There are no known causes of Rosacea. It is not uncommon for people who are dealing with this chronic skin disorder to have flare ups in their eyes (Ocular Rosacea). Many medical experts have been speculating that this chronic skin disorder could be a result of a vascular disorder.
