TOP 5 REASONS YOU MAY HAVE FRIZZY HAIR!

Having frizzy hair does not mean that you you cannot be beautiful. It also does not mean that you have to KEEP frizzy hair. If you do not like frizzy hair then there are several things that you can change that may be able to keep your frizz  under control. However, if you love your frizzy hair, then keep it.

TOP 5 REASONS FOR FRIZZY HAIR!

#1.
NOT MAINTAINING YOUR HAIR!
Let's face it, if you wake up in the morning and do not comb or brush your hair, there is probably a high possibility that your hair will be frizzy. Not properly grooming can automatically cause frizzy hair especially if you have naturally curly hair. Always groom your hair properly in the morning AND at night. Rolling around in bed is enough to create frizz for even the people with the least frizziest hair. Sometimes the cure to frizz is as simple as brushing or combing your hair in the morning.  Also, try wearing a scarf at nighttime as well.

#2.
USING TOO MANY
CHEMICALS!
Frizzy hair is more common among women of color but, chemicals can be very damaging to your hair, regardless of your ethnicity. Especially if you are trying to color your hair at home. When coloring your hair it is never a wise decision to dye your hair at home. Go to a professional.

#3.
USING TOO MUCH HEAT!
If you flat iron your hair consistently expect it to become frizzy. Our hair is not meant to constantly have heat on it. This includes excessive blow drying. Heat can damage the ends of your hair by frying them.  Keep heat to a minimum and always use a heat protectant (see related topics for more information on heat protectant) when styling your hair with a flat iron. Be sure to get your ends trimmed when necessary.

#4.
 NOT USING ANY PRODUCTS!
Natural is beautiful but using NO products at all can actually create a very frizzy look. Not all products are meant to make your hair either straight or curly, BUT, it is necessary to some degree to use products on your hair that will help maintain frizz. This is especially true for people who have naturally curly hair. If you avoid using products on your hair, be very aware that it could turn into a frizzy nightmare.

#5.
YOU ARE USING
THE WRONG PRODUCTS!
When using products on your hair, make sure you are using products that work for you. Often times, people find themselves hearing about a product that works for their best friend and immediately they run out and purchase that same product for them. In case you were unaware, everyone has different texture hair, therefore, you should always use a product that is special for you. If you do not know what works with your hair you can either contact your local hairstylist or try different products to see what works for you.
