THE TRUTH ABOUT MASCARA !

You go to the drug store or the mall and all of a sudden you are standing in front of rows of mascara brands from Maybelline to Rimmel, there is no shortage of mascara brands. And each brand promises to give you gorgeous lashes. So which one is the best mascara? Which brand should you go for and what kind?

If you are currently wondering those questions, be my answer would be, none of the above. It is not the brand of the mascara that matters as much as the type of brush. Depending on the look you are trying to achieve, certain brushes work better for it then others. Below  are a few sample brushes. Notice that each one of them are different. So, honestly whether you go for L'oreal or Covergirl is really not the issue as much as what kind of eyelash look you are trying to achieve.

When shopping for mascara, be very careful not to spend a lot of money on it. While you do not want to go with ultra cheap, be careful to not buy brands that are promising you extra eyelashes. Honestly, you can drop by your local pharmacy and wear any brand from Covergirl, to Maybelline, to Rimmel, but unless you get the appropriate brush you are looking for, the mascara itself does not matter as much. (Pharmacies always have fantastic sale items!)

Of course when you are choosing mascara, make sure that it is waterproof. Mascara that is not waterproof is more likely to create clumps and have mascara dripping down your face. Not everyone has the same skin; you may find this advice helpful, while others may really feel like there is a particular brand that works for them. However, always remember the kind of brush that is on the tip of that mascara.

SIDE NOTE: If you are going to a party or just feel like having super long and thick eyelashes, combine the brushes together. In other words, use a lengthening mascara first for extra long lashes and then use a  brush that creates volume.
