MAKE-UP TIPS FOR TEEN GALS
#6.
GO LIGHT WITH FOUNDATION!
As a teenager, it is not necessary to wear a face full of make-up. This is the age group that should actually be wearing less, not because it could possibly make you look older if applied incorrectly, but mostly because excessive make-up can clog up your pores and make acne much worse. During these years, it is essential to keep your skin clean and the oil on your face under control. Wearing tons of make-up will only do the opposite and if your skin gets too bad, it can create long lasting scars. Generally, many teens can get away with wearing tinted moisturizer mixed with a bit ofconcealer to cover unwanted spots.
TEEN MAKE-UP TUTORIAL!
#5.
NATURAL/NEUTRAL
SHADES ARE BEST!
The more natural you go, the more beautiful and glowing you will appear. It is easy to spot ANYONE who is just wearing too much make-up. Instead of looking like a gorgeous princess or queen, many people who pack on the make-up actually end up having very bad looking skin. This is generally not due to the make-up products, but teens are not diligent about actively cleaning their skin after wearing an excess amount of make-up. Neutral shades are awesome because it can make you look dazzling but at the same time give you a mature look that is still age appropriate.
A little black eye liner has never really hurt anyone's appearance. But the problem that seems to occur among teens is the inability to learn how to appropriately wear black eyeliner. Many teens go eyeliner crazy, meaning that it can look more like you have not slept for days, rather than enhance your natural beautiful eyes. If you are trying to achieve beautiful big eyes, skip the charcoal eyeliner and go for a lighter eyeliner. Light colors always tend to make your eyes bigger, while darker colors (i.e. heavy black eyeliner) can shrink your eyes very quickly and make you appear much older than what you are. While there are many gals at this age that want to appear older, 99.9% of them should not try to look older then what they are. By the time you hit 30 or 35, you will be wishing for the times when you had the opportunity to just look 16.
It's pretty simple. If you have oily skin, stay away from products that will clog up your pores even more. When you choose a foundation, read the label and/or ask for help. MAKE SURE IT SAYS OIL -FREE!
SIDE NOTE: The following products are just examples of many different types of oil free make-up products that are out there for your skin.
Your parents will thank you for this, but YOU will appreciate it more in the long run. If you shop sales continuously, you will always get more for your dollar. For example, go to your nearest drugstore and find out what products are buy one get one half off, or buy one get one free. Always maximize your return on money spent, whether it is your allowance or the paycheck that you just received from your job. You will appreciate it more in the long run especially when you will be able to acquire many more things.
Retin-Ahas been the only anti-aging product that has been clinically proven to help clear your skin. With that in mind, this does not mean you are exempt from wearing products that help moisturize and protect your skin from the sun. Believe it or not skin cancer is mostly acquired BEFORE the age of 18. Young adults are just diagnosed with it by the time they are in their early 20s and 30s. Never make the common mistake of believing that just because you are young, that you will not have any problems that come from your bad habits now. Learn to protect your skin with the right ingredients and never believe that you are too young to start using a product because it says...anti-aging on it. Most women will always tell you....
"If only I could turn back the time,
I would've taken better care of my skin."
NOW IS YOUR TIME.....
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
