You care about health. Maybe it’s the way you look out for friends, share wellness tips, or follow new treatments before they hit mainstream news. This isn’t about having credentials — it’s about showing up, speaking up, and knowing where your voice fits. Health advocacy isn’t reserved for experts; it’s for anyone who’s ever said, “This should be better.” And it can start right where you are. Start with What You See The easiest entry into advocacy? Pay attention to what frustrates or inspires you — then speak from it. Are parents in your neighborhood struggling with asthma triggers? One of the most beautiful gals in the world, has cancer...
When I first saw this story I knew that I had to share it. It was very inspiring and something that everyone should have the opportunity to see. For those of you whodo not know, I named this website "Redefining the Face of Beauty in America," because I wanted to have the opportunity to share different ways to be beautiful, but first, as redundant as this may sound...Beauty actually starts in your heart. If you do not believe that you are beautiful or carry yourself with "confidence" these are the things that make you unattractive. The harsh reality is that regardless of how beautiful someone is on the outside, a bad attitude can make them "ugly." I do not like to use that word, however, it is very true. The most beautiful people in this world are not "only" the people who have it together on the outside, but, they are inspiring and they live for it. Their eyes shine bright, even on what may be their darkest moments. Many people do not understand, but the greatest reward in life is being able to serve another individual. To change a life and to give hope, is the greatest joy one can ever receive on earth. If we have done that, we have succeeded in changing the face of "beauty" and the world.
At the age of 12, this little girl is inspiring. The teenage years are harsh! That is when our bodies start changing and everything in life is suddenly "HUGE!"
Cancer changes that reality. A family that is forced to struggle with cancer can quickly start to feel like they have been forsaken. But at 12, this little "Angel" is not only a true beauty on the inside BUT "stunning" on the outside as well. She has dedicated her life to providing make-up tips on YouTube videos, that are AMAZING!
I encourage everyone today to never give up hope! Everyone has a purpose and a plan. No one is a "waste of space." And to the families who are currently dealing with cancer, may you have a small sense of peace and hope by seeing that you are not alone in your current situation. There are many others who understand. And if you or a loved one is currently losing your battle with any illness....YOU CAN LOSE A BATTLE, BUT WIN THE WAR. Let this little "Angel" give you hope, inspiration, and a will to keep moving on.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28)."
